“Prior to having kids I was in great shape with steady weight of 8.8 stone, pretty fit and healthy. Slowly over the years my unhealthy lifestyle caught up on me.
Back in June 2013, I came to a point where I hit 11 stones and was so unhappy with myself. Rather than attempting to change my diet and lifestyle, I opted for a fast, easy solution in a "tummy tuck" aswell as other procedures costing over £10k! Due to a few complications and lack of aftercare on my behalf, my surgery led to a lot of long and short term health issues including a stroke. After a few months of recovery, I was back to living an even more unhealthy lifestyle!
Slowly, but surely, I started piling on the weight again and before I knew it, in 2016 I hit 12 stone! I spent the next few years trying every fad diet, soups n shakes, tablets, laser, lipo, fat freezing treatments, I even went as far as injections every morning to suppress my appetite, which all worked and were great but only on a short term basis. It would get me through my functions, holidays, events and then I'd give up as I couldn't sustain anything for long periods.
I did kick boxing, boxing, swimming and had personal trainers, however I just couldn't shift more than a few pounds at a time and every time I would give up and go back to my old habits! However one simple yet fundamental aspect of my life I never changed was my diet, simply because I loved my life, my food and drink!
However this January 2020, I hit rock bottom as my health came crashing down and I hit a disgusting 13 stones. I finally decided to listen to my friends and change my diet as opposed to trying fancy aesthetic treatments as a fast short term fix.
I contacted Sonia at the end of January and she explained what she does and what I had to do. At first I thought, how will I cope with change, but I had to try as I had exhausted all my other attempts. As weeks went by it got easier and in fact this lockdown period has been a blessing in disguise for me as i'm forced to cook and eat at home.
I started with Sonia on 1st February and by the end of July, I had lost over stone! Sounds unreal considering the lengths I'd gone to and got no where over the years n spent thousands .
Sonia provided me with a flexible meal plan and guided me through a whole lifestyle change. I am now eating real nutritious foods and moving alot more than I ever have, yet I've not had to put one foot in a gym yet! I cut down eating out to once a week even that Sonia guides me through the best options to choose from on the menu. I'm now drinking alot more water and walking daily. I soon realised I can still lose weight whilst eating proper healthier food – the program Sonia put me on was shocking as I often cant finish the meals or simply am not hungry to want my snacks!
Sonia has honestly been a God sent at a time that I was at my lowest. The food diary and plan that she compiled was realistic. I am always on the go, so she put together food ideas that were easy and quick to prepare and believe it or not there is still so much food I'm allowed to eat! She was also sure to still include foods that I loved too!
I honestly can’t recommend Sonia enough. I can’t thank Sonia enough for the time and effort she has invested in me (trust me I'm hard work) - her service is priceless!
